Fender Esquire Custom Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1985), made in Japan, serial # A015331, two tone sunburst lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, gig bag case.

his early Fender Japan Esquire Custom re-issue is a great sounding guitar with some interesting features. The finish is a cool faded-looking 2-tone sunburst, the neck is dated 10-22-85. The pickup is one of the unusual "red bobbin" units seen on Fenders of this period, and considered better sounding-and far scarcer-than the more usually encountered Fender Japan pickups. This is a very cool and relatively scarce '80's Fender, not common on the US market and a fine guitar to boot!

Overall length is 38 3/4 in. (98.4 cm.), 12 3/4 in. (32.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). Very fine overall with only light wear; a few small dings and chips, light strum marks and a bit of wear to the fingrboard. An excellent playing, great sounding older Fender Japan creation. Excellent Condition.
