Gibson L-48 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1950), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 5943-24, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.

Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 16 in. (40.6 cm.) wide, and 3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). A solid, excellent playing example. Three patched 1/16th" screw holes on the top; two where there was once a pickup control box mounted, the other where the pickup was mounted. There is a cut-out in the pickguard as well as two jack hole repairs in the side. Overall, a few other dings and scrapes and honest playwear in an generally good feeling instrument. Excellent - Condition.
