Fender Mustang Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1966), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 141307, red lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original grey hard shell case.

A fine and nicely preserved 1966 Mustang, Fender's classiest student guitar and the eternal favorite of countless garage bands of the 60's, '70's and 80's and beyond. The body sports a vibrant deep red finish (the Mustang lacks the heavy clear overcoat of higher-end Fender finishes, thus tends to stay truer in color). The pickguard is 3-ply laminated with a white pearloid top layer. An American classic and still a great deal in an original 1960's Fender guitar!

Overall length is 39 3/4 in. (101 cm.), 12 1/4 in. (31.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). A nice, clean all-original Mustang from the model's peak year of 1966. Some finish checking and small chips but basically a lovely unaltered example, complete with the oft-missing trem arm and original HSC. Excellent Condition.
