Gibson L-48 Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1948), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, shaded top, natural back and sides finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, brown tolex hard shell case.

Overall length is 40 1/2 in. (102.9 cm.), 16 1/8 in. (41 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 3/8 in. (8.6 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). A nice clean guitar overall; All original except replaced tuners (later Kluson Deluxe style) with some small chips around the ferrules and a neatly done but visible old repair to the tailpiece hinge. This is very good player with a surprizingly excellent sound, a nice example of the fairly rare early model L-48 with trapezoid inlay, soon replaced with plain dots. Includes a deluxe modern Gibson HSC. Overall Excellent - Condition.
