Epiphone Deluxe Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1945), made in New York City, natural finish, curly maple back and sides, spruce top; laminated maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, black hard shell case.
Overall length is 42 in. (106.7 cm.), 17 1/4 in. (43.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/4 in. (8.3 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). This is a nice playing just-post WWII natural Deluxe with a number of old repairs, but still a very good looking and sounding guitar. There are several repaired top cracks including the top center seam and under the tailpiece, the back center seam and one long grain crack on the back. Everything is fully sealed, and the entire body has an old clear overspray. The tailpiece is a modern Frequensator (not gold plated); the bridge is old but not the exact original style; Tuners are original Epiphone "E" units. The frets and fingerboard are in fine shape. While not in prime collector's condition, this is an excellent sounding and playing guitar and a good value in a serious vintage player's archtop. Excellent - Condition.
