Fender Standard Stratocaster Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1983), made in Fullerton, California, blonde polyester finish, alder body, maple neck, original molded black plastic hard shell case.
An interesting transitional Stratocaster variant from the very end of the CBS era, when Bill Schultz, Dan Smith and the other new blood at Fender were working to turn the company around. With a top-loading cast vibrato, jack on the pickguard and a single master tone control this has several differences from the traditional Strat design, but this short-lived model is still an excellent player's instrument.
Overall length is 39 in. (99.1 cm.), 12 7/8 in. (32.7 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). All original with hardly any wear; appears very little used. Actually an excellent sounding and playing Strat, in a fairly rare variation. Overall Excellent + Condition.
