Gibson LG-1 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1950), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 5621-3, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, Spruce Top, Mahogany Body and Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, brown chipboard case.

Overall length is 39 3/16 in. (99.5 cm.), 14 3/16 in. (36 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Fairly well-worn overall but an excellent player. There are chips, dings and scuffs overall, and some fairly heavy finish loss around the heel area from moisture in the distant past. Back and sides are fairly clean, back of neck has small dings but no major finish loss except in the first-position thump spot. The top and headstock face have dings and scrapes, but there are no cracks or repairs we can see. Original tuners are in tact but it looks like the buttons may have been painted red at some point, and some of the color remains. The guitar plays quite well and has very strong, bright sound-this would make an excellent stage guitar and would work well in amplified situations. Overall Very Good + Condition.
