Epiphone Deluxe Model Arch Top Acoustic Guitar (1948), made in New York City, natural lacquer finish, maple back and sides spruce top; laminated maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown hard shell case.
Overall length is 42 in. (106.7 cm.), 17 1/2 in. (44.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 5/16 in. (8.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). A very fine playing example of an early postwar Deluxe; in a lovely blonde finish. The guitar has had some light overspray on the back and sides, some typical repairs to Frequensator tailpiece but everything is intact except the pickguard is missing. There are a couple of small top cracks fully repaired, the most visible coming down from just under the fingerboard extension. There are some small residual holes for a strap bracket and DeArmond pickup installation by neck heel. Excellent loud and woody sound, a wonderful late swing-era guitar, with the original case. Excellent - Condition.
