Kay Venetian Style Model Arch Top Mandolin (1930's), made in Chicago, serial # n/a, brown sunburst finish, Mahogany Body, Poplar Neck, black chipboard case.

Height is 26 3/16 in. (66.5 cm.), 10 in. (25.4 cm.) width, and 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) deep. Scale length is 14 1/4 in. (362 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/8 in. (29 mm.). Appears all original with some average wear overall, most notably to the finish on the back of the body and the headstock edges. It looks like there are some small teethmarks on the top headstock edge from a small child-or dog! The remains of an old store sticker is still on the back of the headstock. The original pickguard has curled somewhat-the back half is not secured. Has had a neckset at some point, so playability is quite good for one of these-actually a nice example of a depression-era F-hole Mandolin. Excellent - Condition.
