Slingerland Guitar Banjo, c. 1925, made in Chicago, natural varnish finish, maple rim and neck, dyed maple fingerboard, chipboard case.
Overall length is 36 3/8 in. (92.4 cm.), 12 in. (30.5 cm.) diameter head, and 2 5/8 in. (6.7 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/8 in. (48 mm.). Beautiful, all original condition, including the original Slingerland branded head and lovely unplated Waverly strip tuners. The relatively heavy guitar-style bridge gives this one a mellower tone than many banjo guitars. A very substantial-feeling instrument, an excellent example of this style banjo guitar. Excellent Condition.
