Dobro Model 55 Model Resophonic Guitar (1929), made in Los Angeles, serial # 1372, walnut grain lacquer finish, laminated hardwood body, mahogany neck with red bean fingerboard, black hard shell case.
A superb early Dobro, from the first year or so of production. Great sound and immaculately preserved.
Overall length is 38 7/16 in. (97.6 cm.), 14 1/8 in. (35.9 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 3 1/8 in. (7.9 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 7/8 in. (48 mm.). Super clean-no repairs, no more than tiny wear marks...as nice a California Dobro as we have ever offered. Original roundneck set up Hawaiian; sounds great! Excellent + Condition.
