Fender Jaguar Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1966), made in Fullerton, California, sunburst lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black hard shell case.
Here's a special Jaguar -- an early 1966 with the transition dot/bound neck (dated JAN 66) and gold plated hardware, a catalog option that in practice is rarely seen. Most gold-plated Fenders appear to have been finished in custom colors, so this sunburst example is a fairly unusual find. With a nice, chunky neck, this is a fine player; a great-sounding and very flashy version of Fender's top of the line guitar! Somehow it has a sort of upscale hillbilly vibe…
Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 14 in. (35.6 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 in. (610 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
Completely original. Some minor finish dings (a few on the front touched up); otherwise a very clean guitar. Includes a nice original HSC. Excellent Condition.
