Fender "Mandocaster" Model Solid Body Electric Mandolin (1959), made in Fullerton, California, sunburst lacquer finish, alder body, maple neck, anodised aluminum pickguard, original tweed hard shell case.
A very nice early "Mandocaster" that's definitely had an interesting life!
Overall length is 25 7/8 in. (65.7 cm.), 10 1/4 in. (26 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) deep. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.).
Extremely clean body finish and anodized pickguard; headstock and fingerboard have some finish wear and discoloration. Decal is missing the "ER" in Fender and there is a chip off the "F". Tuners are original but buttons are recent replacements; everything else is completely original, including the oft-missing bridge cover.
Original tweed case has the remains of some fantastic folk art decoration. Excellent Condition.
