Pigdog The Revoker Boost Effect (2019)
Pigdog The Revoker Model Boost Effect (2019), made in Surrey, London, England, serial # 1/1, grey crinkle enamel finish, aluminum.
Pigdog is a very small pedal company owned and operated by Steve Williams in Surrey, just outside of London that began in 2007. With a backstock of NOS parts and unusual components, Wilson most notably experiments with vintage-modeled gain staging pedals in very small batches and seemingly is always game for the challenge of a one-off custom pedal like this example.
The Revoker is a one-of-one treble boost pedal housed in a modest aluminum stomp enclosure with a simple two-knob configuration. Like many of the greatest treble boosters, this pedal revolves around a pretty minimal circuit using only a few quality components to get a clear, harmonically rich boost. The Revoker features a Mullard OC 71 germanium transistor, a component said to stay clean and smooth when faced with high outputs and high frequencies.
The pedal is in overall clean condition and all original. Being a custom pedal, it doesn't bear a serial number; there are remnants of text (probably the name of the original owner) that aren't quite legible. One can still work out what appears to be the word "order." The knobs and pedal are marked with stickers, as is the case with all other of Pigdog's custom builds. It does not come with a box. Excellent - Condition.
