Gibson Les Paul Custom Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1987), made in Nashville, TN, serial # 81737504, black lacquer finish, mahogany body with maple cap; mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, original molded black plastic hard shell case.
Overall length is 39 1/4 in. (99.7 cm.), 13 in. (33 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).
This 35+ year old Les Paul Custom is relatively clean overall, showing some general play wear with minor dings, dents and scuffing with the heaviest marking some belt buckle wear on back. The gold plating is worn away a bit on the bridge, pickup covers and tuner buttons. Some of the solder joints appear worked on; the stamped base patent number pickups appear original but they may have been taken out and re-installed; one tone cap looks changed but the original pots (dated late '86 early '87) are still intact. There is a tiny bit of wear to the original frets but this is still a super nice player, set up and ready to go in the original period molded "Chainsaw" HSC Overall Excellent - Condition.
