Bigsby Volume/Tone Model Pedal Effect (1969), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, natural aluminum finish, aluminum case.

Length is 11 3/4 in. (29.8 cm.), 4 5/16 in. (11 cm.) width, and 3 9/16 in. (9 cm.) deep.

This is a nicely original pedal overall, showing some external wear, cleaned and tweaked internally but not altered in any substantial way. This heavy cast aluminum unit was the most affordable and ubiquitous piece of equipment from genuine legend P.A. Bigsby (excepting his wildly popular Vibrato tailpiece). This was a critical part of every steel guitar player's rig in the 1950s and '60s, but of course works equally well with any instrument. This one has a pot dated to the 17th week 1969, so likely dates to around that time. One of the bottom plate screws has been replaced. It is still the best (certainly the sturdiest!) pedal of its type ever made, a genuine warhorse and a fine working piece still. Excellent - Condition.
