Kay K-8110 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar, c. 1963, made in Chicago, natural top, sunburst back and sides finish, maple back, sides and neck; spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, black chipboard case.
Overall length is 42 3/4 in. (108.6 cm.), 17 1/8 in. (43.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 3/4 in. (654 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.). Very Clean and original overall; the finish has some light wear but virtually no fade. Appears all original except for the nut. There are some dings to the top with what looks like a bit of lacquer patch-up and a few chips to the finish on the back of the neck and around the edges of the back-otherwise the finish looks very good. The Kluson Deluxe tuners are original but a couple of them have been re-mounted after likely getting loose at some point. A very nice example of Kay's fairly rare big boomer of a flat top from around the end of its run. Excellent - Condition.
