Gibson L-00 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar, c. 1937, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, sunburst top, dark back and sides finish, mahogany back sides and neck, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, black tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 40 in. (101.6 cm.), 14 3/4 in. (37.5 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 7/16 in. (11.3 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). Pretty well-worn overall but a very good sounding and playing L-00. Lots of small dings, dents and chips but no major repair issues except about a 1" long area of wood on the soundhole edge on the bass side replaced long ago-a solid job but a bit folksy in appearance. A couple of small cleanly sealed small back and side cracks; amazingly no top cracks except a very small one off the top edge of the pickguard. Bridge appears original, has been remounted and possibly cut down a bit-just fitted with a new saddle. Solid frets, good neck angle-a nice gigging '30's L-00. Includes a very solid modern HSC. Overall Very Good + Condition.
