Gibson ES-335-12 formerly owned and played by Robby Krieger of The Doors Model 12 String Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar (1968), made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, cherry lacquer finish, laminated maple body, mahogant neck with rosewood fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.
 
Overall length is 44 in. (111.8 cm.), 16 1/16 in. (40.8 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). Original, unaltered condition-minimal playing wear, no changes from its 1971 state except strings changed (once!). Comes with two hand signed letters from Krieger attesting to the provenance and a reproduction of a photograph taken the LA Woman LP recording sessions showing the guitar lying casually in the studio. This guitar was used mainly on the track "Love Her Madly" and can be prominently heard on the recording. An extremely rare opportunity to own an instrment with Doors provenance, which virtually never come to market. Excellent Condition.
