Harmony Stratotone H-44 Solid Body Electric Guitar (1953)
Harmony Stratotone H-44 Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1953), made in Chicago, bronze lacquer finish, hardwood body and neck, rosewood fingerboard. Item # 4650
Overall length is 36 3/8 in. (92.4 cm.), 10 3/4 in. (27.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.). Width of nut is 1 3/4 in. (44 mm.). This guitar has general finish wear overall, most notably to the back of the neck where the grey primer is exposed from the first to the seventh fret. All original except a new jack and very good replica jackplate-the original is nearly always broken. A great sounding and rather early example of this very cool, funky and now much sought-after early solid body guitar. Overall Very Good + Condition.
