Ampeg Reverberocket R-12-R-B Tube Amplifier (1964)
Ampeg Reverberocket R-12-R-B Model Tube Amplifier (1964), made in Linden NJ, serial # 404190, blue checked Tolex finish. Item # 3691
The Reverberocket is a great-sounding mid-60's Ampeg creation, with a brighter and twangier tone than earlier models. This 1964 example is the earlier design with the controls on the top rear like a 1950's Fender…around 1965, the Reverberocket II would go to a front-mounted panel.
The reverb and tremolo circuts here are particularly lively! This model makes for an excellent general purpose amp with a different tone than the more common Fenders, with a slightly trashy edge perfect for surf, instrumental rock'n'roll, and garage sounds.
Height is 18 in. (45.7 cm.), 20 3/4 in. (52.7 cm.) width, and 9 in. (22.9 cm.) deep.
Appears all original except later speaker and 3-prong power cord. Very clean overall and a great-sounding amp, as many of these are! Excellent Condition.
