Flatiron Festival-F Model Carved Top Mandolin (2001), made in Nashville, TN, serial # 10202010, sunburst top, shaded maple back and sides finish, maple back and sides, spruce top; maple neck with ebony fingerboard, original black tolex hard shell case.
Overall length is 27 in. (68.6 cm.), 9 7/8 in. (25.1 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 11/16 in. (4.3 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 14 in. (356 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/8 in. (29 mm.).

This Gibson-made Flatiron Festival is a now-discontinued Nashville version of the mid-line mandolin series, intended as a professional quality F-style instrument (similar to the F-5G) without the high-end trimmings. This one has been played and shows some light wear. It also has some typical modifications preferred by many modern players including stripping the back of the neck to bare wood for a better feel and the removable "toneguard" cage on the body which allows the back to vibrate unhindered. This mandolin was recently worked on at Weber with a new nut and fret dress, and is an excellent player. A very fine mandolin; well broken-in with an excellent sound for the price. Excellent - Condition.
