Fender Deluxe Model 5B3 Model Tube Amplifier (1952), made in Fullerton, California, serial # 6183, tweed fabric covering finish.
Height is 16 1/4 in. (41.3 cm.), 18 in. (45.7 cm.) width, and 7 5/8 in. (19.4 cm.) deep.

This is a super clean, original, early wide-panel Fender Deluxe, with just some typical maintenance to keep it fully functional 65 years on. It has just been serviced with new filter caps (the originals are included but are leaky), new power tubes, and 3-prong cord -- again, all original parts have been preserved. There are small dirt spots, scuffs, and edge frays to the tweed, but overall this amp shows far less wear than most from the period. The original leather handle has also been replaced -- it is broken at one end, but again, is still included.

The control panel and interior are very clean; the original Jensen speaker (dated 11th week of 1952) has been perfectly reconed at Weber. In general this amp just doesn't look like it saw much use. Yesterday's loss is our gain today, as this superbly well-preserved Deluxe simply makes any guitar shine with a glistening, low volume, clean tone that shades into supremely responsive overdrive when cranked. A simply splendid example of one of our favorite amps. Overall Excellent + Condition.
