C. F. Martin 0-18 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1959), made in Nazareth, PA, natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, original brown alligator chipboard case.
Overall length is 39 in. (99.1 cm.), 13 1/2 in. (34.3 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 11/16 in. (43 mm.).

This is a nicely original guitar overall, with just some finish checking and moderate play wear -- mostly strumming marks on both sides of the sound hole rim and just below the pickguard. The bridge has been lowered at some point and the saddle is new; with just some recent fret work, this is a fine player. The tuners are period Grover Sta-tites, but there appear to have been a set of Waverly tuners on at some point as well. While a bit played-in, this is still a lovely example, in far better shape than many! This is one of those relatively rare Martins that has existed nearly 60 years without any major cracks! An excellent player with a nice ringing tone; well-aged and finely mellowed-in. Overall Excellent - Condition.
