C. F. Martin D-28 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1969), made in Nazareth, PA, serial # 249826, natural lacquer finish, Brazilian rosewood back & sides, spruce top, ebony fingerboard & bridge, original black hard shell case.

An example of a very late Brazilian rosewood Martin dreadnought, built shortly before the switch to Indian rosewood in late 1969. Typical end-of-the 1960's features; rounded headstock corners, black plastic pickguard, short saddle bridge, and Grover Rotomatic tuners. Very fine sound with a deep bass but well balanced trebles; a fine player's rosewood Martin.

Overall length is 40 3/4 in. (103.5 cm.), 15 3/4 in. (40 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 4 15/16 in. (12.5 cm.) in depth at side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 25 in. (635 mm.).

Nicely preserved overall, all original with very little play wear. Small pickguard crack under the E string. Shows signs of some repair to the heelblock area and a long repaired crack to the upper side. Neck has been reset and playability is very good. Excellent Condition.
