Circle Strings 5 String Banjo (2009)
Circle Strings 5 String Banjo (2009), made in Post Hills, Vermont, natural oil varnish finish, gig bag case.
This is a very nice "beveled wood rim" banjo of the Farland type, built by Vermont luthiers Adam Buchwald and George Morris of The Vermont Instruments School of Lutheire. There is no metal tone ring, but the inside of the rim is beveled outwards to present a larger head surface with better contact at the edge. A very good sounding old-time banjo. Overall length is 36 1/4 in. (92.1 cm.), 12 1/16 in. (30.6 cm.) diameter head, and 2 3/4 in. (7 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 25 1/2 in. (648 mm.). Width of nut is 1 1/4 in. (32 mm.). Unused, direct from the maker. Near Mint Condition.
